Attending: Sam, Wenlong, Matt, Winnie, Teng, Ste, Jens (chair+mins), Vip, RobC, Duncan Notes from yesterweeks: http://storage.esc.rl.ac.uk/weekly/ 0. Operational upgrade doma docs blogs Question about CentOS8. Normally issues would be support for hardware, and whether it upgrades python thus breaking all your older python scripts. However, in CentOS8 it should be possible to install python2s. The driver issue is mostly whether it still supports older hardware, because presumably things work with newer hardware (but should be tested...) There is a CentOS8.1 now. There are reports of CentOS8 working as DPM pool nodes, although it probably has not been tested as much as it should. There was recently (last week) a DOMA Access meeting; as mentioned earlier, these can be quite technical. https://indico.cern.ch/event/881242/ Most DOMA meetings are fortnightly. Expecting a F2F meeting in March. 1. xroot proxy cache monitoring. Link is now available (see chat); Teng will create a shared user account which will be shared with people in GridPP storage and data management. 2. Next week has a GDB (https://indico.cern.ch/event/813744/) which has entries for a large number of storage and data transfer related things.Should we bend anyone's ear about things we want to highlight? There are several interesting talks, but not specifically where we need to provide input. A reminder, however, to people to keep the IPv6 page in the wiki up to date, so it can be used to reference GridPP's IPv6 status. 3. Action items Maybe we should try to have action items again, at least to remind us what the tasks were. There was CMS for Monit, and we needed a test of StAR for DPM and StoRM (dCache would almost certainly work...?) $.
