Hi Jens, So, I thought you might want some quick notes on the Storage Group meeting this morning. I ran it as a quick round-robin of issues, so things we covered were: Bristol have the return of their Storage Load issue where Gridftp processes brown-out. Luke thinks this is due to poor performance in the gsiftp dsi plugin for DPM. They're working through it with a more scalpel-like script for killing the service when it exceeds load parameters. Matt (and I) are following along on a ticket against gfal2 to look at porting it for Python3 support [as ATLAS apparently discovered that it doesn't work on Python 3 by default]. Matt has also noticed some odd issues with some LSST-owned paths on his storage having broken permissions [not writable by the LSST group]. These were made via xrootd, after srm was decomm'd, so we're paying attention in case this is an xrootd/dome issue? Vip upgraded the DPM at Oxford and is seeing warnings on his BDII tests now. We think this is because the tests test GLUE1 and the DPM DOME BDII only does GLUE2. He's been copied into a thread on this involving other sites over at the dpm user forum. We also agreed that we'd have a meeting next week, as the last meeting of the year, but we'd deliberately make it optional.... Hope this is useful, Sam
