Present: Brian, Jeremy, Sam, Jens (chair+mins), Matt, Teng, Winnie, RobC We went through the Forward Look/View document. Stuff in red are comments from PeteC: Sam had moved some of them around if they don't integrate with the flow. We will not necessarily have a full-flowing narrative but the main thing is that the content is right. One thing that's less clear - for obvs reasons, as the structure is only just emerging - is how GridPP storage-and-data-management integrates with the new set of TWGs in IRIS. Roughly the new WGs are: 1. Architecture/vision - affects us probably only indirectly 2. DiRAC - might be relevant in the future if/when the WG gets around to looking at data interoperability 3. ALC - data management tools, perhaps 4. Business management - storage accounting 5. Scientific Openstack - storage backends? 6. AAI - also overlaps with access tokens, cf. fwd view 7. Interfaces - all flavours of interfaces including storage, so very relevant 8. UKRI NeI - probably not relevant yet; there is a data working group but it worries more about people with harder data problems than ours and on a longer timescale 9. Operational policy - As GDPR shouldn't be directly relevant (no personal data data), probably more relevant to dteam A. Hybrid cloud - relevant, as people would be moving data to/from commercial clouds, like we have explored previously.
