Attending: Jens (chair+mins), Sam, Teng, Winnie, Dan, JohnH, Brian, Luke, RobC, RobA Apologies: Matt 0. Op. b. p. No operational issues (hurrah!). New blog post from Sam (hurrah!). 1. Sam's thing Sam is still putting slides together for CHEP (the one in Sofia); theme is caching in GridPP. Clearly reduced funding and other evolutions lead to more storage being used as cache, but cache still needs to be used intelligently. Another side of the same evolution is different flavours of storage such as object stores. And supporting more stuff on the same infrastructure, more communities (it would be nice if they wanted the same thing but not always the case), and also connecting infrastructures (or BYOC) 2. Brian's thing Brian reported an early discussion on dteam where the PMB would request a forward view for each of the work areas in GridPP. Perhaps we should revisit our older ToR and related documents, in view of the above evolutions. 3. Jens' thing. IRIS and that sort of stuff - covered during the previous discussions. Also one of the remaining todos for this quarter was to look at GOCDB for information systems (for storgae), based on Andrew McNab's suggestion in the most recent GridPP meeting (Pitlochry). 4. Anybody else's thing NOT Daniel Peter Traynor: (27/06/2018 10:15:35) users should not care about servers. they should care about services I with andrew on APIs, I might disagree about what APIs
