Attending: Sam, Jens (chair+mins), Brian, Raja, Teng, Dan, RobC, Matt, David, Steve 0. Operational blog posts 1. The next GDB - next week - has a storage accounting update! https://indico.cern.ch/event/578992/ No one attended the information systems event: https://indico.cern.ch/event/675478/ FTS reporting - new portal didn't work for Jens' report, and too much "test" data particularly for QMUL, OXF, GLA. 2. xcache update? Power Rangers? Matt's hit a snag - something outside his control regarding configuration of a switch and a DNS request. However, Govind should be able to make progress but was not in the call today. ChrisB got it working for dCache at RALPP for CMS. [SHould be able to attend next week and tell us about it.] Who would need the xcache? Certainly smaller (diskless) T2s ; but also medium/larger? LHCb will do file > xroot > DCAP (or other SE specific) Brian points out a dual role, of providing storage for diskless sites, but also IPv6 interface to DPM. IPv6 required for larger T2s by Apr 18. 3. Although CHEP '18 is not till July, they have sent their first CFP around - should we (= GridPP storage) submit something? It's in Sofia in Bulgaria... but they are probably right we should start thinking about it soon. [Number of CHEPiX submissions is a metric, reported annually] Sam had thought of submitting something. Still long time away but organisers had suggested we think about abstracts now. Storage accounting may also be an option if it could be finished during our copious spare time in December. 4. DPM workshop? is now in $other_country but do we have an agenda? It will be in Prague, and not till May/June '18, probably May, so plenty of time. 5.
