Present: RHUL: Govind Lancaster: Matt Edinburgh: Wahid Glasgow: David, Sam RAL: Jens (chair+mins), Brian * We're waaay short on blog posts. Or rather, we aren't, but some people are not blogging enough. In the past quarter we only had five blog posts (should be at least 8) and four of those by Jens. * dCache many-CA problems in IGTF release 1.42. Confused? Your questions answered. Maybe. dCache hit the too many CAs problem. Downgrade Sam chose the new EMI DPM for Durham. Authentication problem currently likely to be a configuration issue. Will feed back to DPM, and to Ricardo about NFS4 testing. We may switch to EMI once there is no gLite option. * Writeups: - NFS4 testing: Sam has a client which can do pNFS, testing functionality first. Mostly works. For DPM, came out with a lot of Ricardo's tweaks... WebDAV also in DPM (but alpha), but works better than NFS4.1. WebDAV in dCache as well. WebDAV: should be able to access with more generic tools, including mounting in Windows Explorer. - what to do with FTS transfer logs Suggestion to resurrect Gidon's data monitor Dirac data monitoring monitor - Dave's family Extended Dave the dataset, Georgina - Collaboration roadmap (EMI and suchlike) Wahid supposedly early adopter for DPM in EMI. Chair WLCG technical working group on storage management: future strategy for WLCG in storage area. Jens also member, apparently. Report by end of year. Other co-chair is Daniela Bonacorsi from CMS. * Outcome of meetings: - What happened last week ;-P Site issues. RHUL: slow transfers to foreign T2s. WLCG still giving tickets to the wrong sites. - GridPP @ CERN... did we do this one already? Writeup? - All Hands Lots of data management stuff but partly UMF, ie universities' internal; Microsoft had some interesting visualisation demos but Sam says most require Silverlight. Sam and Jens will work on writeups. - EGI TF (EMI middleware testing?) - James A went to it. David was there but ended up being very security-y. - OGF - Jens (writeup) * Any other noteworthy items to come out of the past quarter? - ATLAS Sonar test results - majority of UK sites passing, at least in one direction - criteria loosened to 5MB/s. NeISS published at AHM, and paper available but probably won't appear in proceedings.
