This is the information provider for CASTOR - it runs as a backend for a BDII.
Once installed, set up a castor user and a crontab file to run the CIP.
A symlink to /var/tmp/castor.ldif will make the BDII pick it up.
Caveat: make sure that prelinking is switched off particularly for /usr/libexec/cip - the prelinker strips away certain symbols which are needed.

We tend to pronounce "CIP" with an Italian C, so "chip".
